About ReelSongFinder

ReelSongFinder names the song in a public Instagram clip. Paste a Reel link, get a title and artist when the recording is in the catalogs, then open it on the streaming app you already pay for. No account is required for the 2 free song matches.

What you paste, and what you get

The input is a public Instagram URL: a Reel (/reel/ or /reels/), or a public video post (/p/ or /tv/) when that is the link you copied. The matcher fingerprints the audio. It does not read the caption, the hashtags, or the comments. A clear match includes the track name, artist, cover art when a catalog provides it, a short preview when Apple Music, Spotify, or Deezer return one, and buttons into those stores. Other stores are honest search links, labeled as search.

The same Reel URL later is a cache hit and does not spend another identification. If Instagram cannot be fetched, that attempt is not charged, and the form can offer an upload of a clip or screen recording (large files are shrunk to audio in your browser) you already have. Upload is a fallback, not a downloader, and it does not unlock private or Close Friends media.

What we will not identify

• Private accounts, Close Friends, and anything that does not open while logged out
• Instagram Stories, profile pages, Explore grids, and Instagram’s music-library pages

• Speech-only clips, unreleased bedroom beats, and edits so distorted that no catalog fingerprint remains. A miss stays a miss — we do not invent a title

Shazam and other mic apps remain the right tool when you only have live playback and no public link. For a public Reel, the link is usually the better input, including when your phone is muted.

Free quota and paid access

Free use is two song matches in total on this browser (not per day), with no login. Need more: a 20-ID pack ($4.99 one-time) or Unlimited ($9.99/month), checked out through Waffo as merchant of record. Prices and buttons are on pricing. Paid access follows the email you enter at checkout. A new browser does not mean the purchase is gone — restore with that email. There is no password account.

We never see full card numbers. Payment data is handled by Waffo. What we store for the product (Reel URLs you submit, a hashed IP as a shared-network ceiling, entitlement cookies) is described in the privacy policy. Rules of use are in the terms.

Who operates it

ReelSongFinder is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Instagram, Spotify, Apple, or AudD. Recognition runs through a catalog provider (AudD) when that service is configured; without it, the site cannot honestly name a commercial recording.
