YouTube song finder
A YouTube link does not name the song here. youtube.com/watch, youtu.be, and
Shorts URLs are rejected. Expand the description and read “Music in this video” when YouTube printed it.
If the same audio is a public Instagram Reel, paste that link.
Do this
- Stay on the watch page. Find a song from a YouTube video, find music from a YouTube video, and how to find the music from a YouTube video URL are this same read. A Short is YouTube Shorts song finder.
- Expand the description. “Music in this video” is YouTube’s licensed credit. A line the creator typed is the other credit. Either one is the title. Search that string in YouTube Music, Spotify, or Apple Music.
- Stop if both are missing. Original audio and uncleared uploads often have no credit. This page will not invent one from the YouTube URL. “YouTube music finder” and “find background music from a YouTube video” are still that description line when a license exists.
- Use a Reel only for the same audio.
Copy a public
/reel/link and paste it on the homepage. The match reads that file. It does not open YouTube. How to copy a Reel link. - Long video, one song somewhere in it? Read the chapters and pinned comments first. If they name nothing, cut a short clip at that moment and upload it: find a song in a video.
Questions
Can I paste a YouTube URL into ReelSongFinder?
No. youtube.com/watch, youtu.be, and youtube.com/shorts links are rejected before a match runs. The paste box takes a public Instagram Reel.
Where does YouTube print the song?
Expand the description. When YouTube has matched a licensed track, it prints a “Music in this video” line. Some uploads also have a song credit the creator typed.
The description has no music line. Now what?
This site will not guess from the YouTube URL. If you can hear the hook, Shazam is the mic path. If the same clip is a public Instagram Reel, paste that link on the homepage.
Is a Short the same job?
No. Shorts use a different player. Use the YouTube Shorts song finder for those links.
