Terms of Service

By using ReelSongFinder you agree to these terms. The service is provided as-is for personal, lawful identification of music in public Instagram Reels. Paid checkout is processed by Waffo Pancake as merchant of record — their Buyer Terms also apply to purchases.

ReelSongFinder is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, Spotify, Apple, or AudD. All trademarks belong to their owners.

Acceptable use

  • Only submit links to content you have a right to access (public Reels)
  • Do not abuse the API, bypass rate limits, or attempt to scrape at scale
  • Do not use results for copyright infringement or harassment
  • Do not resell IDs, share paid access as a service, or game checkout / restore

Link check and payments

Checking a public link is free and is not charged. The match runs after you pay. Automated or cloud-hosted traffic is blocked. Naming the song (title, artist, links, preview) is paid: a 10-song pack ($1.90 USD, one-time; credits do not expire; a credit is used only when we find a match) and a Year Pass ($49 USD, one payment for 365 days of unlimited personal use; not a subscription; fair use up to 50 searches a day, and paid searches are limited to 10 per minute) are billed via Waffo Pancake (merchant of record). A result you unlocked stays open at its link until that purchase is refunded or charged back; a refund re-locks those results. We do not charge when there is no match, when the video cannot be fetched, when the media check fails, or when recognition returns a system error. Matching can fail on short clips, speech-only audio, or heavy edits. Monthly Unlimited plans already started are no longer sold here; they keep renewing at the price on the Waffo receipt until cancelled, and access continues through the paid period when cancellation is pending. Paid access is tied to the checkout email; use /restore on a new browser with that email and the order ID from your Waffo receipt (no password account).

Refunds — credits & Unlimited (digital purchases)

Credit packs and Unlimited are digital products. Access is delivered as soon as payment succeeds: pack credits are granted to your checkout email / browser, and Unlimited unlocks IDs for the paid period. There is no physical good to return.

Song packs, including the 10-song pack ($1.90). One-time digital goods. Once credits are granted, unused IDs are not cash, do not expire on a published clock, and are not refundable just because you changed your mind, cleared cookies, or switched browsers — Restore reattaches them. We will refund (or ask Waffo to refund) a pack if we failed to grant the credits after a successful charge, you were billed twice for the same pack, or the law / Waffo as merchant of record requires it.

Year Pass ($49) and monthly Unlimited already started. The Year Pass is one payment for 365 days, not a subscription. Monthly Unlimited subscriptions that already started keep renewing at the price shown on their Waffo receipt until cancelled. Cancel a monthly plan anytime through Waffo (receipt / Buyer Portal) or by writing hello@reelsongfinder.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access through the period already paid. We do not prorate or refund unused days of a period you already used. If you cancel before you use any paid IDs in the first period, ask us promptly — we treat that as an unused digital purchase and will work with Waffo on a refund where the cooling-off rules still apply.

Where consumer law gives a cooling-off window (often 14 days from purchase), it typically ends once you start using the digital service — the first paid ID, or any Unlimited identify after checkout. Statutory rights we cannot waive still apply. Waffo may approve a refund on its own as merchant of record (duplicate charge, failed delivery, fraud, or their Buyer Terms).

To request a refund: email hello@reelsongfinder.com with the checkout email and order / receipt id, or open it in the Waffo Buyer Portal from your receipt. Approved refunds return to the original payment method through Waffo (usually several business days). A refunded pack or period is revoked — remaining credits and Unlimited for that charge no longer apply, and results unlocked with that purchase are re-locked.

Termination & consequences

You may stop using ReelSongFinder at any time. Cancel Unlimited as above if you do not want another charge. Unused pack credits stay on the checkout email until you spend them or we close the record at your request (see Privacy).

We may suspend or end access immediately if you break these terms, abuse identify / restore, scrape at scale, commit fraud or chargeback abuse, or put the service or other people at risk. We may also pause paid grants if Waffo flags the order.

Consequences. Suspended or terminated accounts lose identify access. We may forfeit unused pack credits, revoke Unlimited (including a period still marked canceling), refuse Restore for that email, and decline new checkouts. Fees already paid are not refunded when we terminate for cause, except where law or Waffo requires it. We can refuse future use of the same email, visitor cookie, or network.

If we shut the product down, we will try to honor paid Unlimited through the current period or arrange a refund of unused prepaid time via Waffo. We may update these terms; the date at the top is the version that applies. Continued use after a change is acceptance.
