Share URL
That link says /share/, not /reel/
Some share buttons copy a redirect instead of the Reel address. The box can try that URL once.

Get the Reel path onto the clipboard
- Look at the path.
instagram.com/share/…is not yet/reel/plus a short code. - Paste that share URL once in the box above. If the redirect resolves, identification continues. If the result is exactly “That share link couldn’t be resolved. Open the Reel and use Copy link (/reel/…).”, stop re-pasting the same text.
- Open the share URL in a browser you control.
When the address bar changes to
instagram.com/reel/or/reels/plus a short code, copy the full https URL. Tracking query params can stay. - If the bar never changes, copy from the Reel itself.
Go back to the clip and use Copy link so the clipboard contains
/reel/before you leave the app. Where that command sits is copy a Reel link. Other clipboard shapes — profile, Story, audio page — are copy link on Instagram. - Paste the /reel/ URL. After the unresolved error, the form can also offer an upload of a clip or screen recording you already have (large files are shrunk to the first 30 seconds of audio in your browser). That does not open a private account. Other sentences on a failed result are Reel song not found.
Questions
Did “That share link couldn’t be resolved” use a free match?
No. That error happens before a catalog search, so it does not use a free identification.
Is /share/reel/… different from a /share/ token with no word “reel” in it?
Both are share paths. The address you want, after the page loads, contains /reel/, /reels/, /p/, or /tv/ plus a short code.
Does ?igsh= mean the link is a share redirect?
No. igsh is tracking on an otherwise normal Reel URL. You can paste it as copied.
Companion note: Which Instagram link do you copy to identify a song: reel, share, p, and the rest (short version on Telegraph).
