License block

This song is unavailable

That sticker is a license block, not proof the Reel is silent. If you can still hear music, paste the public Reel link in the box. The fingerprint does not need Instagram to print the title.

Why tapping the sticker goes nowhere

Instagram attached a catalog sound when the Reel was posted. Later, the license does not cover your country, or the sound was pulled from the library entirely. The chip under the caption changes to “This song is unavailable,” “This audio is unavailable,” or a close variant. Tap it and the sound page refuses to play. There is no artist field left to copy. Searching the audio library for a nameless unavailable sound loops you back to the same page.

That is not Original Audio. Original Audio means no catalog sound was attached. Unavailable means one was attached and then hidden from you. Other blank credits — no sticker at all, a removed soundtrack, a region block that looks empty — are sorted in no song name on the Reel. This page is only the sentence you can read on the sticker.

Friends on another network sometimes still see “Title — Artist” on the same Reel. Their sticker is a real answer. You can search what they read. You do not have to route your own phone through another country for this site to try the file.

Hear the file, then paste the Reel

  1. Write down the exact words on the chip. “This song is unavailable” and “this audio is unavailable” are the license sentence. If the chip says Original Audio, you are on the wrong page.
  2. Unmute for two seconds, unless you cannot. You are checking whether a recording is still in the video. Music means the file may still be identifiable. Silence means Instagram removed the bed and left the picture. If you must stay quiet, skip ahead and paste anyway — the finder uses the file, not your speaker — and treat a no-match or a silent result as final.
  3. Copy the Reel, not the sound page. Back out of the dead audio page. On the video: Share → Copy link, until the clipboard shows instagram.com/reel/ or /reels/. A URL that is only the audio library is rejected. The copy details are copy a Reel link.
  4. Paste it in the box on this page. A catalog match can return title and artist while the sticker stays unavailable for you. Open the preview and the store link from the result. The same URL later is a free cache hit.
  5. If the Reel is silent, stop. Check the caption, a pinned comment, and on-screen text. Ask someone who still sees the sticker. Do not re-paste hoping the license message will turn into a title. If the finder heard audio and said no match, the recording is not a catalog track — that checklist is Reel song not found.

Limits

  • We do not unlock Instagram’s sound page, and we do not change what your country is allowed to stream inside the app.
  • A silent file cannot be reconstructed. The picture of a waveform is not audio.
  • A private Reel that you cannot open logged out never gets as far as a license sticker. That failure is a private Reel.
  • Sped-up audio can still be what is inside an unavailable sticker. Mild edits often match; extreme ones often do not. Sped-up and remix Reels are that limit.

“Couldn’t reach that Reel” — deleted, private, or blocked before any audio arrived — does not spend a free identification, and neither does “No match”. Two identifications in total are the free allowance on this browser. Plan amounts are on pricing only.

Questions

Is “this song is unavailable” the same as Original Audio?

No. Original Audio means Instagram never attached a catalog title. “This song is unavailable” means a catalog sound was attached and your region, or a later license change, will not play or name it.

Will a VPN make the sticker show the title?

Sometimes people in another country still see “Title — Artist.” A VPN is not part of this tool, and you do not need one if the video on your phone still contains music. Paste the Reel link, or ask someone who can see the sticker to read it to you.

The video is silent and the sticker says unavailable. Can the song be recovered?

No. Identification reads the file. If Instagram removed the recording and left a silent clip, there is no audio to fingerprint. A caption, a comment, or a friend’s screenshot of the old sticker is the remaining lead.

I tapped the sound and the sound page will not play. Should I paste that page’s URL?

No. Paste the Reel (instagram.com/reel/…). The sound page is Instagram’s library entry, and it is the page that is blocked. The Reel link is the video that may still hold the recording.
