Find a Reel song on iPhone or Android
The whole job is four taps and a paste, and it works in the browser you already have. This page covers the parts that trip people up on a phone: the clipboard, the paste prompt, and which link you copied.
You’ve used your 2 free song matches.
Free is 2 matches per browser, one time. To match more Reels, pick one:
$4.99 one-time · 20 more song matches · no subscription
$9.99/month · unlimited song matches · cancel anytime
A Reel you already matched still opens free. Already paid? Restore with your checkout email.

The steps
- Open the Reel and tap the paper plane. It is the Share icon under the Reel. The menu that opens lists people to send it to, and a row of options below them.
- Tap Copy link. Nothing visible happens except a short confirmation. The link is now on your clipboard.
- Open reelsongfinder.com in your browser. Use Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android. If you are reading this page already, scroll up: the box above works as it is.
- Paste, then tap Find song. Long-press the field and choose Paste. On an iPhone, Safari may ask to allow the paste, and you tap Allow Paste. The result is the title and artist when the audio is in the catalog.
Check what you copied
The link must be a public Reel. When it is pasted, you should see instagram.com/reel/ followed by a
short code. If you see only a username, you copied a profile. If the address has /share/ in it,
read why a share link is not the Reel. The
copy-link guide shows each case in more detail.
Common phone problems
- The Reel is muted or your volume is off. This does not matter. The match works from the file. See muted Reels.
- You do not use the Instagram app. A public link in a message or a browser tab works the same way. Read finding a song without the app.
- The label says Original audio. That is a metadata gap, not an error. See what Original audio means.
- You get no match. It can be speech, a heavy edit, or a track not in the catalogs. The causes are listed in when a Reel song is not found.
- You are on a laptop. The same steps apply with the address bar. See finding a Reel song on a PC.
Questions
Do I need to install an app on my phone?
No. You only need a mobile browser. Copy the Reel link in Instagram, open reelsongfinder.com in Safari or Chrome, and paste it into the box.
Why does my iPhone ask me to allow paste?
Recent iOS versions show a prompt when a page pastes text copied in another app. Tap Allow Paste. If you dismiss it, long-press the field and choose Paste again.
Does the Reel need sound?
No. The match reads the audio file behind the link, so a muted phone or a silent room does not matter.
Which link should be on the clipboard?
A public instagram.com/reel/ address. A profile link, a Story link, or a private Reel cannot be identified. If the pasted text does not contain /reel/, copy the link again from the Reel itself.
What does it cost?
ReelSongFinder gives two free public Reel identifications in total without an account. Pasting the same Reel link again is not charged.
