Which link to copy
- Take the URL that already points at the video.
Pass:
instagram.com/reel/,/reels/,/p/, or/tv/plus a short code.?igsh=can stay. Phone button names are copy a Reel link. - Read the card for that recording. Title, artist, a preview when a catalog sends one, and links to play it.
- A
/share/link is not the video yet. Open it until the address matches a path above, or copy the link again from the video. Share links are redirects.
The same finder is on the homepage. A file or a microphone, instead of a Reel link, is the songfinder.gg alternative.
“What song is in this video”, “video song finder”, and “identify a song from a video” are this paste when the link is a public Instagram video. A YouTube or TikTok URL is not that file.
No link, only a video file or a recording? See find song from a video. The song is somewhere inside a long video? See find a song in a video.
Questions
Can I paste a YouTube or TikTok video?
No. Those hosts are rejected before a match runs. Use the TikTok sound page, the YouTube song finder for a watch page, or the Shorts guide. Stories have no stable public URL.
The video changes songs halfway through. Which title comes back?
Usually the clearest stretch. The card does not list every song in the video.
My phone is muted. Does that block the match?
No. The audio is read from the Instagram file, not from your speaker.
I only have a screen recording, not a link.
Yes: press “No link? Upload a screen recording instead” under the box (an upload is also offered after a link fails to fetch). The music has to be in that file, and a large recording is shrunk to its first 30 seconds of audio in your browser. Steps: find the song from a Reel screen recording.
